Hello class! Here is the story so you can read it again. Also, you will find a video of the Great pacific garbage patch, which was our inspiration for the story. Watch it so we can talk about it next class. See you on Wednesday! 💚 Secret Island

Once upon a time there was a sailor called Manuela who loved the sea. She was sailing towards a secret island she had heard about. The blue sky reflecting on the crystallized water, and that salty smell of pure life. Manuela was friend of the dolphins, that swam following her boat. They were very playful and jumped around her. She sang for them beautiful songs, and they replied cheerfully. Suddenly the dolphins disappeared and she noticed something was different, the water was darker and filled with little pieces of plastic. She looked up and saw and big pile of trash floating, she had arrived to trash island. In her mind she had imagined a paradise of trees, plants and sand, but it seemed that the secret island was made of plastic bags, bottles, fishing nets, electronic devices, cardboard, and more trash.

She decided to get as far away from this island. Manuela couldn’t understand how that was possible. As she was thinking this, she picked the water bottle she brought with her, drank from it and threw the empty bottle to the ocean.

Wednesday Class - 20/03

Welcome Class! How are you? We are more than ready for this new year with you. 

Last year we faced many challenges and this one is going to be even more creative and intense.

We are welcoming some new students and creating a bigger community.

Todays activity will let us revise past and present simple, and also catch up with with you since the last time we have seen each other. We would love to know about your holidays! We are sure they are full of fun stories, but for this activity choose one.

As you can see, this are the stories we have created and we'd like to share with you (click to see them better).

Today’s activity

In this activity create a story in frames. It can be about something that happened in your summer holidays or an anecdote:

·      In the first frame, explain where the story happens;

·      In the second frame, what characters (people) are in the story and some characteristics (hair colour, eye colour, if they are happy, sad, brave, like adventures, etc.);

·      In the third frame, explain the situation, how the story starts;

·      In the fourth frame say how the characters in the story felt (if they were scared, angry, worried, calm, relaxed, having fun, etc.);

·      In the fifth frame, how the story develops, what happens next, just before the ending;

·      Finally, in the sixth frame, tell the ending of the story.

Take as an example our stories and after this you will find a template (the base for you to work on). Fill this template pictures by inserting them in the picture blanks (they can be your own or from the internet) and below (under the picture) tell your story.
